B48 MPLS Washers process dirty labware from gRED labs (SC, FRC, and upcoming B86). There are 6 washers at the MPLS area: 3 were replaced in 2020/21 as part of the MPLS Consolidation Project; 3 are from 2008 vintage. B48 is a long term building asset. B48 MPLS is the sole source of labware processing for all of gRED, including the upcoming B86. B48 MPLS will need to provide robust support to gRED until at least the startup of the new gRED Center. The 6 washers are operating at heavy use. If one washer is not in service, potential to delay processing of labware for gRED customers. When washers are out of service, the extra loads are being put on the operational washers resulting in extra shifts (staffing) to process the dirty labware; in addition, and results in hand-washing of labware when there’s a large backlog. Replace the 3 older Steris 500 washers with 3 new Steris 500XLS washers.

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
