Impact / Risk of Not Doing: In scenarios of unplanned hardware failures, the obsolete Rockwell Automation automation components are unable to be purchased and can lead to excessively long equipment downtime. The existing GE iFIX SCADA HMI has exhibited multiple events of alarm dumping and intermittent operator station failures that are unable to be mitigated by vendor support and/or internal automation support. These intermittent events have disrupted the 24/7 monitoring of the plant by Operations more than 20x each year. The GE iFIX SCADA HMI servers are running Windows 7 OS which is no longer eligible to receive security patches (cybersecurity risk). FDT is recommending the following changes to improve the operability and reliability of the boiler plant: - Migrate the existing GE iFIX SCADA HMI to a new Rockwell Automation SCADA HMI - Decommission the existing GE iFIX SCADA HMI servers - Commission new Rockwell Automation SCADA HMI servers with up-to-date Windows 2019 OS - Remove and replace obsolete Rockwell Automation PLCs - Remove and replace obsolete Rockwell Automation components for ethernet communication - Replace all coaxial cables with ethernet cables - Modify PLC programs to update communication protocols with new Rockwell Automation components - Change the FDH database to obtain data directly from the 7 different PLCs that make up the plant

- Met with SiteOps to review the execution plan and MOPs. SyCal is revising these plans. - Discussed the manual operation testing - SyCal revised the FS, Drawings, SCADA and TP/TF for GNE review. - Issued PO amendment to SyCal for spare parts - SyCal submitted the SWP and MOPs. SWP was approved. - Incorporated schedule changes to account for MOPs

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:

  • If you want to create three separate Acme records (Acme-New York, Acme-Dallas and Acme-Portland) click the Conform link at the top of the column.
  • If the dissimilar entries are mistakes (say Acme only has one office in New York and the other locations are data-entry errors) go back into your table and correct the inconsistencies—in this case, changing all locations to New York. Then try the conversion again.
